Thomas Blackmore Productions has been gearing up to compete in the Connecticut 48 Hour Film Project, taking place July 26th-28th, 2025. This is the ultimate challenge for our team—a fast-paced, high-stakes competition where filmmakers have just 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film from start to finish.
This competition isn't just about making a film—it’s about pushing creativity, problem-solving under pressure, and proving that Thomas Blackmore Productions can deliver quality storytelling on a tight deadline. It’s a test of teamwork, endurance, and sheer filmmaking skill.
What to Expect
When the competition kicks off, teams will receive a randomized genre, character, prop, and line of dialogue that must be included in their film. From there, the clock starts ticking. Every moment counts, and there’s no room for hesitation. Scriptwriting, casting, shooting, editing, and final submission all happen within two days.
This is where Thomas Blackmore Productions thrives. We’ve built a reputation on efficiency, innovation, and the ability to tackle ambitious projects. This competition gives us the perfect opportunity to put those skills to the test and showcase what we’re capable of.
We’re Documenting Everything
To give our audience an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making a film in just 48 hours, we’ll be documenting the entire process—from brainstorming and production to the chaos of last-minute editing.
In August 2025, we’ll be releasing a full documentary detailing our experience, the challenges we faced, and the lessons we learned along the way. This is more than just a competition—it’s a story of passion, pressure, and filmmaking at its most intense.
Follow Our Journey
We’ll be sharing updates leading up to the competition and throughout the weekend. Stay tuned for exclusive content, sneak peeks, and, of course, our final film submission once the competition wraps.
Thomas Blackmore Productions is ready. See you at the finish line.
